The Office for the Career Counseling and Retention Program for International Students in Taiwan, established by the Ministry of Education, has formulated these Distinguished Taiwan Alumni Award Guidelines. The Distinguished Taiwan Alumni Award is designed to:
• honor the outstanding achievements of people who have studied in Taiwan as a foreign student;
• enhance Taiwan’s reputation overseas;
• strengthen and maintain close connections and friendly relations between those former foreign students and Taiwan; and
• encourage current foreign students to learn from and emulate outstanding alumni of universities in Taiwan.

Eligibility:
Any foreigner who has studied in Taiwan and completed a degree or a training program approved by the Ministry of Education and has achievements in one of the following categories is eligible to be nominated to receive a Distinguished Taiwan Alumni Award.Candidates should have demonstrated outstanding achievements or significant contributions in professional fields such as academia, business, politics, culture, or communications.

Number of Recipients:  5 to 10 awardees 

Award Details:
Awardees will be invited to Taiwan to receive public recognition, share their experiences, and participate in visits and exchanges. Round-trip economy-class airfare and expenses during the visit will be covered by the project fund.
The 5th Award Ceremony is tentatively scheduled for November 2026.

Nomination Procedure and Deadline:Submit the completed and signed application form to the Center for International center by 12:00 p.m., January 20, 2026.
