Health Certificate
  1. The health certificate should be issued within 3 months by one of the local hospitals designated by the Centers for Disease Control of  Ministry of Health and Welfare of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) or a foreign hospital. 
  2. Health certificates issued by foreign hospitals must be authenticated by an R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission.
  3. Visit the website of the Centers for Disease Control at https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En for health checkup items and the list of designated local hospitals.

Education Verification

please be sure to complete this process before coming to Taiwan!!

  1. Foreign diplomas and transcripts need to be verified by the TECO offices in the country where the school is located.
  2. If your diploma (or graduation certificate) is not in Chinese or English, you must verify the original and translated Chinese or English versions.
  3. When handling the registration procedures at our school, you must submit your diploma and transcript for verification. If you fail to provide the required education files during the registration process, you won't be able to complete your registration or enter the NTUNHS.If you wish to keep the original files, please bring a copy when registering.

 

VISA

If you're planning to study in Taiwan, make sure to apply for a residence visa. Get your documents ready based on your situation. Here's what you need:

*If you are concerned about the longer processing time for the visa application and would like to start the application process early, please be aware that the visa has three months’ validity. 

Hong Kong and Macau students(entering with a Hong Kong passport)1
When applying for a "Residence Permit" at the age of 18 or above, it is required to possess a "Certificate of No Criminal Conviction" issued by the Hong Kong Police Force. You must first apply for a "Recommendation Letter for Certificate of No Criminal Conviction.

​​​​1.Recommendation Letter for Certificate of No Criminal Conviction

  • Application Hours: Every business day from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Application Location: Room 4907, 49th Floor, Central Plaza, 18 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
  • Required Documents: (1) Completed application form (to be filled out on-site) (2) Copy of both sides of the Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card (3) Notification letter from the University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students (JUPAS) or Admission Letter for individual application

2.Certificate of No Criminal Conviction

  • To make an appointment, visit the "Hong Kong Police Force" website online at  https://www.police.gov.hk/....../cert_no_crime_local.html
  • Follow the scheduled appointment time to proceed to Police Headquarters.
  • Ensure that the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction (CNCC) has a validity period of at least 3 months when applying for the residence permit in Taiwan. 
  • The CNCC will be directly sent to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei. It will not be handed over directly to the applicant. Please make sure to retain the receipt for the CNCC and bring it with you to Taiwan.

3.Entry Permit

  • Please go to the online application system (immigration.gov.tw)
  • Required Documents(Please provide clear electronic copies)
    • Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card (front and back)
    • Passport (valid for at least 3 months)
    • Recent passport-sized photo with a white background taken within the last two years
    • Valid Exit Permit (front and back) for those born in Mainland China
    • Document proving enrollment for the first semester of the academic year
    • For new students: Admission letter (through joint admissions) or Admission letter with an education bureau number (for individual admissions). For returning students: Certificate of resumption or proof of current enrollment. For transfer students or those admitted through local Taiwan exams: School-issued list/announcement.
  • Reminder:
    • For the "Purpose of Application," please select "Study Abroad.
    • For the "Type of Permit," please select "Single Entry/Exit Permit.
Chinese students or overseas Chinese with foreign nationality from Hong Kong (entering with a foreign passport)1

*The Admission Letter or Distribution Booklet must clearly state that the student's identity is a Chinese student or overseas Chinese from Hong Kong or Macau with foreign nationality, specifying the country of nationality or the passport to be used for entry.

*The University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students Distribution Booklet indicates 'Highest qualification verified' to exempt from repeated verification. However, original and photocopies must still be brought for cross-checking and submission.

 

Hong Kong and Macau students(entering with a Macau passport)1

Apply Entry Permit: https://coa.immigration.gov.tw/coa-frontend/overseas-honk-macao

1.Fill out the Taiwan Entry and Exit Application Form online and attach a recent color passport-sized photo meeting the specified length requirements (3.2 to 3.6 centimeters).

2.Macau Permanent Resident Identity Card, front and back.

3.Macau Special Administrative Region Passport with a validity period of at least 3 months (full-page copy of passport information).

4.For those born in Mainland China, please provide the front and back of the Home Return Permit.

5.For individuals under the age of 18, please include photocopies of both parents' Macau Identity Cards.

6.If you have previously held a Portuguese passport, please provide proof of obtaining the Portuguese passport before returning to Macau.

7.Students applying through University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students must submit the distribution booklet.

8.Individual applicants must submit the admission or acceptance letter (the letter must include the approval letter number from the Ministry of Education in Taiwan).。

9.For applicants seeking to resume studies, a school-issued letter of resumption must be provided (including the resumption date).。

*After arriving in Taiwan, for students aged 18 and above, it is mandatory to apply for a 'Certificate of No Criminal Conviction (Behavior Paper)' (Electronic certificates downloaded from '一戶通' are not accepted). Additionally, document verification must be carried out (appointment required). The application purpose must be related to studying at a higher education institution abroad or applying for a Taiwan residence permit.

*For individual admissions, high school graduates may need to undergo academic credential verification (appointment required). Please consult with the school first to determine the necessity. Chinese students or overseas Chinese with foreign nationality from Macau (entering with a foreign passport)1

1.Foreign Passport: Original (valid for at least 6 months with blank pages) and one photocopy of the personal information page.

2.Visa Application Form:

  • Please visit https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw to fill out the visa application. Choose 'General Visa Application
  • Select 'Over 180 Days (Residence Visa),' and choose 'Study (Overseas Chinese Students).
  • On page 6, select the visa application office as 'Asia - Taipei Economic and Cultural Office/ Mainland Affairs Council Macau Office.
  • Fill in the fields according to your foreign passport information, submit the completed application, print it out, and sign it personally in the designated signature space on the second page.

3. Macau Resident Identity Card: Original and two copies of the front and back.

4. Two photos: Recent 2-inch color photos with a white background taken within the last 6 months.

5. Admission Letter/ Acceptance Letter: Original and one copy.

6. Highest Education Qualification Certificate: Original and one copy (including high school graduation certificate and transcripts for grades 10-12). For those admitted through University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students, the educational documents must be stamped by the Macau Examination Committee. For those admitted through individual school admissions, the educational documents should be verified by our office. Please bring the original and one copy of the graduation certificate, and the front and back copies of the high school transcripts.

7. Proof of Financial Capability: Original and one copy.:

  • Original and one copy of the latest 3 months' bank statements or salary slips, or, if submitted two days before the submission date, a continuous 3-month bank passbook statement, including the name page and a balance of at least MOP 40,000.

  • If provided by the applicant, it should be from the applicant. If provided by parents or siblings, a proof of relationship and a copy of the relative's identification must be included.

8. Health Examination Report issued within the last 3 months for 'Residence or Settlement' including the checklist of items.:

  • Please download the form from the website of the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare.

  • Fill in the basic information including the foreign identification number/recognition number, foreign passport number, and foreign nationality.

  • Complete the required examinations at Jen-Ai Hospital, Jing Lake Hospital, or National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology Hospital. The examination results must be 'Qualified.' In case the results for measles and rubella antibody tests are 'Negative,' proof of vaccination for measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) is required.

  • After the health examination, the 'Residence or Settlement Health Examination Checklist' should be verified by our office.

9. Other documents: Any additional documents required based on individual case review

2. five pieces of ID photo(3.5cm*4.5cm), make sure your face outline is clear in the photo and also keep the e-file with you.
